I think that's the best to describe Dante's Inferno, Jack. Strangely Beautiful and Terrifying, If you look other artistic interpretation of the book like the ones from Gustav Doré or Botticelli, they also share the same vision (in their own style of course). If you read the book I'm sure your mind will do the same. There's no way to see Dante's depiction of hell whitout feeling fascination , fear and emotion. Thanks for your comment.

It's weird how strangely beautiful this image is and yet I guess it's suppose to be terrifying.

It's amazing, cuz basically the whole visual concept of Hell that christians holds is thanks to Dante's INFERNO.They had no idea where they're going to be sent. :D

I once had a Christian friend who never read Dante. I said, "You know, the further you travel into Hell, the colder it gets." He didn't get it.
