Well, just done my Christmas shopping in Chelmsford, Essex ... all TWO presents (for a neighbour and their dog)


Come Christmas Day, I will be sat at home on me lonesome! Thank Goodness for the TV and the internet. Not that I mind TOO much as I'm used to my own company 24/7/365 ... but it does hit home a little at Christmas. (I know there are places like Salvation Army in Braintree who put on a spread, but they are mostly "old people" in their 70's and 80's, and homeless people)


Anyway, what ever YOU'RE up to this Christmas, I hope you enjoy yourself.

Thanks for all your kind comments guys. As you say, many in same position; you just deal with the cards life hands you.

I've just watched the cartoon film "Scrooge" with Jim Carrey. Don't know if it was because it was due to being a little depressive, or just a bloody good film, but it had me choking back the tears as ol' Ebenezer changed his ways. Wonder if it's because the sentiment hit home!

Oh well, back to my computer programming till the "Festive" TV starts in UK at 7:00 Christmas Eve.

friend haha me too in gloucestershire - i got some stilton smoked salmon parsnips and chicken soup a mince pie and ambrosia custard i ll wish you a happy christmas and new year with a glass of cider ;) - your not alone and hey happy christmas and a peacefull 2016 and thanks for reminding people some guys cant have that family christmas - giles

At least you will have company on here as I expect many in the same situation as you will be celebrating with their GBT friends.Hope that doesn't sound patronising as it is not meant to be.I just feel for all people who are on their own at this time of year.
