What if the homeless wanted a hug? Would you?

David disguised myself as a homeless man for this social experiment to see what would happen if a homeless person asked people for a hug instead of money.

@Halix, I got plenty out of it. That experience of working with homeless people, male prostitutes, female prostitutes,, child prostitutes, victims of sexual and physical abuse, alcoholics and those people with mental health issues opened my eyes as to what really exists in the world. I also worked with men who where HIV. I became a qualified trainer so I was able to pass my skills and knowledge on to others. Do not feel sorry for me but envy me that I was able to help 1000's of people. That's REAL help not some feel good moment from a social experiment. My intervention with many of my clients has saved lives and turned lives around. I am so proud of what I've done. I walk down the streets of my home town and can see the difference I and others like me have made. Hey, but if you still want to blast me for my honesty and saying what I think go right ahead. You have as much right to hate and troll me as anyone.

Great comments Steve.. A real volunteer will get so much out of it when helping others out. And good on you for volunteering all those years at the sports club Steve

@AlanAlba I really feel sorry for you that you did all that work in doing that volunteering work and you say you got "nothing" out of it?. I have been helping out with volunteering work since I was 14 years old helping out at a sports club close to where I live. Next year will see me 10 years doing doing that work. How can you say that meeting new people is meant to inflate peoples egos. My time at my work has inflated nothing more but my friendships with other people

I in fact love Social experiments and there are some good ones on you tube. It can really show over a period of time, just how human or Inhuman the public can be .Its so easy to say Get a job, but you must understand, just why a homeless person is there in the first place .Sure there are tricksters out there but it doesnt mean there all like that at all.

I hate social experiments, what's the point of them?, seriously, they just serve to inflate peoples egos. They are in fact a public nuisance. The closest your'e ever going to get to a REAL homeless person is an arms length. They smell, by they're very nature they smell, they're homeless. No access to soap or water. Thy're clothes stink. What? do you think I've never seen a homeless person? I spent 12 years working in the sector, volunteering with homeless drug addicts. Working for 5 of those 12 years in a Homeless Hostel. Very few people are homeless for more than a few weeks. Every single one of the "homeless" people in Aberdeen have homes, they go out begging and pretending to be homeless because the general public are easily fooled.
