Anyone else ever wonder about where people like River Phoenix and Jonathan Brandis would be today if they had lived? Running on empty was my Favorite Movie with River Phoenix and sad he died so very young.

River in 'My Own Private Idaho' was devastating as a narcoleptic Rent Boy, with an equally hot young Keanu R as his partner.

One of my favorite movies ever; River was simply amazing in it as he was in most of his roles. I felt he was one of the best actors of his generation and would have went on to do more incredible work and won a few Oscars. Jonathan was great in IT but wasn't as into him as River. His death really impacted me; I still remember vividly when he died as I was living in LA at the time and very close to the Viper Room where he died. I went to the vigil outside the place and wrote on the memorial wall. So true what Robbie said; been going on a long time and will continue to do so :(

Yup, so much talent down the drain. Self-destructive, unable to handle fame and fortune too young too soon. An old sad story going all the way back to James Dean.
