What is the best extension (ie .png or .mp4) to use for photos's and vid's on this site?

I always have trouble uploading pictures and videos on this site for some reason.  I was wondering if there is a preferred extension or one that is more consistent on working. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks guys!!  Also, are 4k images too big for upload or can a diff extension work for that too? :)

Pics == .jpeg === Vids === .mp4 or .flv --- Nick can convert the vids if needed

mp4 for vids and jpg for pics, to load pics go to photos then look under upload it will say create an album, you wi figure it out from there buddt
