This is a wonderful movie and the acting is so great!  This is also one of my favorite trivia questions...Name the only winner of the Oscar for Best Picture that was rated X.  Midnight Cowboy.  Later it was re-rated to R...it really doesn't have any explicit sex in it and not that much skin.  Good music score too though a bit dated now.  Good turn by a young Bob Balaban...he's still a working actor and has seemingly been in everything from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" to "A Mighty Wind".
