I agree with all the comments below except for the one about your age being a problem. I'm older than you are and I get new friend requests just about every day. I post on many peoples' Walls every day and in return they post on mine. I suspect that as a result of my posting on other's Walls (and the kind of pictures I post - which I also post on my own Wall [take a look]) that I get those friend requests. And I also frequently post on blogs like this one and have uploaded both videos and photos to GBT as well.
However, if you should want to 'friend' me, please get an avatar. There are a number of people like me who won't accept as friends people who don't have an avatar, so get one (not one of a dick or ass please). As to messages, I don't get many (and would certainly like more), but people who I message almost always respond, so reach out to people whose profiles you like and message them. Hope this helps.

People post on walls of people that reach out to them or share stuff either on blogs or via others walls. There are a lot of members here that only look at the pics and watch the vids. And don't want any other interaction. Having a profile doesn't bring people to you..you need to take some action so that people know you are here. Just sayin'
I think most people are afraid of people who are different. Or run away when they find out you're 50, which there is nothing wrong with. It does feel like alot of people aren't welcome on this site. Like there is an In crowd
Well in my case, I only get by here once a week or so and then its only for a few minutes at a time. Until I saw this blog, I did not even know you were here, nothing personal its just that I have a very busy life at the moment but lets be friends, sent you a request and I think most members would say I am pretty much harmless :)
