Although the current Americas Cup boats are remarkable design achievements and have their place in the sailing scene, I too would prefer to see

a return to more conventional craft which would leave more room for tactical sailing, essentially sailing is not about physical strength, it is more about

mental skill in using the variations in wind direction and speed to get the course fastest.

Obviously I congratulate the winners.

But I loved competitions (regattas) with traditional boats. Now these boats are too technical and only prepared athletes can sail.

i beleive going back to mono hull is on the agenda jus have to wait and see

I preferred the Americas cup of 15 years ago when the regattas were raced with classic sailboats and not with catamarans

A remarkably  great sporting nation for their small population, this victory must have been sweet revenge for them against Sir Ben Ainslie who jumped on the Oracle boat last time and enabled one of the great comebacks in sporting history, USA from 8 - 1 down to 9 - 8 winners.

yes davey its a great day to be a kiwi wedont have the money but we shure have the abilityto do things

Just so fabulous for New Zealand - Larry, Jimmy & his Oracle just couldn't get their act together, they were so undisciplined!
