Working With Links to Credit “Borrowed” Images on GBT

I think that crediting a “borrowed” image is a responsible and polite thing to do and a great way to “spread the wealth.”  Using active links that will take your fans directly to the site from which the image was borrowed makes it very easy for your fans to enjoy the beauty of GBT.  To put a link from someone on a wall, you need to copy the link of the person who posted an image.  Each image on GBT includes the link of the person who posted the image.  Highlight the name, by holding your LEFT CLICK button down while scrolling over the link.  Then RIGHT CLICK while your cursor is within the highlighted section and choose COPY.  Now the link is on your clipboard and you can take it anywhere you want; your wall or anyone's wall, even a WORD document.  When you have written the text you want to post and you are ready to post the link, RIGHT CLICK again and choose whichever PASTE option works best for you.  The link will appear.  To activate the link, you must space at least one space after the link and then it will turn blue, letting you know that it is active.

Now, if you want to use the name of the wall’s owner, you will have to copy the entire address, such as this:  http://www.gayboystube.com/user/petfag from your browser’s ADDRESS WINDOW.  Again, you must hit your space bar to activate the link. If you only want to use the person’s name, as I always do, just highlight the part you DO NOT want, http://www.gayboystube.com/user/petfag, by holding your LEFT CLICK button down while scrolling over the part you DO NOT want. Then LEFT CLICK with your cursor inside the highlighted text.  Choose CUT and you will be left with only the user’s name, which will still retain its active hyperlink nature.  You can COPY and PASTE ABSOLUTELY ANY link this way.  This should help you credit “borrowed” images like I do, if that’s what you are trying to do.  By the way, I collect image links with the credits in a Word Document that I keep just for the purpose of posting them to GBT friends.  I have collected thousands of them, a few examples of which follow:

I highlight the h in the “http” of the image link if I have posted the image to someone’s wall so I don’t reuse it and I highlight the p in the word "posted" if I have posted the image to my own wall for the same reason.

I hope this is useful to anyone interested in crediting “borrowed” images with active links.  If you need any more assistance I will be glad to share what I know with you.

Hugzzz to my GBT friends~Harry
