was there 2 yrs ago for the formula 1 race .. stayed at the bar sands was great but pricey

I was there in May. Stay in the Clarke Quay area. Full of bars and clubs of all kinds. (The Novtell is nice and convenient.) Grinder almost sends out bells and whistles when you get there. My partner and I hooked up with someone every night and twice on Monday during a 5 day stay. One Asian guy was from Canada. It's a very small island state. You can walk most of the areas you would be interested in. Word of warning, stay away from the little India area on Sunday evening. It's their shopping time and it gets very crowded and crazy. Otherwise it's a nice way to see another culture.

I was there in 79/80 when I was 21, it was a heaving orgy of a place.

Don't spray paint any graffiti on walls. You get caned for that (unless you're into that sort of thing). Also, no chewing gum. It's banned in Singapore (I wish everywhere else).
