There are few walk-off homers in life but this is one of them. The sit down is longer than the stand up — that’s how great Rodney was. Dated? Yes.

Another one of my first and best memories. What I wouldn't give to have spent an hour with him.

My all-time favorite comedian!  (Well, maybe in a tie with Lily Tomlin back-in-the-day.)

Loved him. The first time I saw him was on SNL in the late seventies. It was a skit where Dan Ackroyd as Jimmy Carter gets radiation poisoning and turns into a giant. Rodney said "How big is he? He is big! He could make love to the Lincoln Tunnel!". I never laughed so hard, and I sought out his albums after that. And then there's Caddyshack, Easy Money and Back to School. I miss him and his type of humor.

Sitting here pissing myself with laughter. The dude sitting next to him looks like James Mason, the British actor.
