downloading files from a file name
does anyone know if its possible to download or search for a particular video here by its file name.
I downloaded a few videos on my tablets sd card then when I tried to copy them to my pc they were corrupted.
failing that I guess I have to just search for them again lol
i just did a test actually and downloaded a vid then immediately after i searched for the unique coded name and it didnt find it. so maybe the search only works by title.
thanks for the replies guys. i tried to search for the unique coded name from the corrupted files that i had but no search was found which i guess means they have been removed within the last 24 hours. oh well lol
Let's use this one as an example since it's new and sexy asf!
The easiest way is to select and copy the full video title. Next, go to the magnifying glass icon on the far upper right of the screen (next to Community)... click the right facing arrow icon... then paste the title into the search area to the left, hit enter to search.
It will take you to that video and usually the next few with that similar titled text information.
If your talking about taking the unique encoded filename, say for example you click that blue box download option on a video and then you there's a few other options that pop up such as and if you clicked the save file... what you get is this encoded file name:Â Â 5c10b477ad6e7.mp4. If you only have that, enter that into the same search query as above, it should come up.Â
Either way, with the title name or the unique encode, it should come up. Both ways will lead you to the same video.
