Also atypical for all except the home purchase and grocery bags.

I almost always use my own bags (had for years before it became popular).  So I'd consider myself an idiot for forgetting them and getting money back to pay them off for the reward.  It's only 5 cents in actuality. (I did just notice Target quit the bonus)

I thought the home purchase one was odd, as a lot of houses near me cost less than $150K.   Even though conditions change, I do my research.  Some just ask too much hoping to get a sucker or they expect a lower bid.  Using a percentage increase would be a better way to phrase that one.
