Growing old

It used to worry me, growing old, but it doesn't any more as I don't envy the young, not purely for being young. Yes, I envy their youth and vitality, and energy, and beautiful blemish free bodies, and trim 26" waists but I don't envy them in other senses. Where we live in fairly rural Lincolnshire there are few jobs, those that are available are nearly all minimum wage. Youngsters have no chance of getting on the property ladder. Most have to wait until Mummy and Daddy drop off the perch and hope to inherit. In the meantime, youngsters come under immense social pressure these days, mainly because of social media. I don't envy them at all.

I haven't seen the statistics, but generally from what I've seen around me, the young that get a good college education generally do well.  Also I'm guessing many of them get a decent inheritance from their parents.  I'm often surprised how many young couples are able to afford to buy houses (much earlier than I was able to) or are able to pay high rents.

Another thing, I find the young seem to regard money differently than we did when I was younger.  Saving for the future doesn't seem to be a concern for them.

We all well most of us are getting older. There is nothing you can do about it.

But I do agree that for the most young people live will be harder than what I had when I was 18 or 25 because now decent paying jobs are mainly for the well and high educated youngsters. Buying a house is for most people out of reach now.

Social media is used to play out people against each other keeping them for uniting to be one force against the government or companies and the results are the most of you labor and other rights and thereby a decent income disappear in favor of the rich upper class and governments.

Its up to the younger people to fight for there rights and a decent paying job.Â
