For the young man's sake I hope it isn't KS. Kaposi's Sarcoma isn't seen all that frequently any more. Many AIDS patients died of KS before the first meds became available. It was an every day common site. A healthy immune system does a great job on it's own in killing the virus that causes KS. Once HIV meds became available those with even sever cases of KS saw an almost instant reversal of the condition. I know people who had it 30 yrs ago until AZT became the first tool in the med regimen to treat AIDS. They're still alive and healthy without a sign of it. If those are hickies someone was pretty zealously turned on.

"Kaposi's sarcoma is caused by a virus called the human herpesvirus 8 (HHV-8), also known as the Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV). The virus is thought to be spread during sex, through blood or saliva, or from a mother to her baby during birth."

I hope so.  We don't see enough hickeys (love bites) on GBT.
