Intelligence is the ability to apply something you have learned to a different situation. Someone who just lies on the couch, and does not apply anything, therefore cannot be intelligent by this definition.

How do we know you're not comparing yourself to the bottom 10%?  Your statement means nothing if you're a low life no life.

I don't think intelligence can be determined by a standardized test. So many people are intelligent in so many different ways that if you just base it off of academic test scores it honestly loses all it's meaning. I have a friend with Autism, he got terrible grades in school but if you literally ask him to multiply almost any two numbers he can almost instantly give you the correct answer. Some people are intelligent in a social way, like they can charm other people easily or they read people easily. Some people are intelligent in a mechanical way, they can look at something and figure out how it works easily. It really just all depends on the person at the end of the day.

that for me is determining how much nature and nurture to use when confronted with a life or death situation
