many years ago, 1980's, I had a friend who went around the popular cottages and made his own glory holes with a drill and bit similar to above. That was in Aberdeen and surround Shire. Sadly however local councils have stamped out the practice.
He often visited Blackpool and Brighton, not doubt he took his tools along, just in-case.
