Recovery - Day 4

Well, yesterday started out a little weird!  One thing you have to get used to in a hospital is doctors and nurses quietly coming in to check on things a few times during the night.  I'm such a light sleeper that when ever they  do that I wake up until they leave.  It was about 5am in the morning when I heard someone come into the room and start walking around.  As usual, I didn't think to much about it, until the person started to try to get into bed with me.  I flipped over real quick, and here is this older guy, probably 70s, saying "what are you doing in my room?"  I told him that it was my room and clicked the call button for the nurse because he was confused enough he couldn't find the door again in the dark.

Next up, Orthopedics came in at about 9am and said that I could move back to the lighter brace.  So I was able to get out of the 20 pound brace, and back into the five pound one.  Added benefit is that now I can bend my knee to a 40 degree angle, which certainly makes getting my shorts on easier.  It was a pain in the ass trying to get them over my foot when I couldn't bend the knee.  Now it's a piece of cake again.

Other than that it was just a lazy day tooling around the hospital.  Now that today is Saturday there wont be any updates until Monday morning.  I'll just be chatting and trolling GBT and YouTube for most of the day along with watching the Criminal Minds marathon.  So if you wanna chat, hit me up.

First, those damned rooms need bigger numbers by the doors, sorry!  Second, where did you find nurses that came in quietly? Last timeI was in the hospital it seemed they lurked outside the door until they heard me snoring, then came in, flipped on the lights and announced it was time for BP, meds, IV replacement, etc. But there was this one Latin orderly trainee named Barry!!i
