I'm less dismal about this. Since I came to discover myself through my uncle's collection of classic queer porn, I knew this setting immediately: The Vallancourt Fountain in San Francisco. It was completed in the early 70's and I think the "vintage clothes" go more to that time than early 80s when HIV/AIDS became known and we lost so many to it until finally America woke up and realized it was not a gay disease. Thankfully, my uncle is still here in his 50s and thanks to him I learned so much that following generations including my own should be so grateful for. He worked near Market and Castro, was there early on when Harvey Milk was elected and he was younger than I am now. That he watched the AIDS quilt go from being taken to events in a small U-Haul trailer to 2+ semi-trucks amazes me, That was a time of big change. More than high heels thrown at Stonewall. More than bullies bashing and killing those who were queer before us. Even more than Supervisor Milk and Mayor Moscone being assassinated. What is really sad are all those who know of HIV/AIDS and now think of it as a status symbol to be positive. Yes, you can live with it. But to think that way is so very negative. It is beyond arrogant. It is just stupid and mocks the loss of those who fought and died early on, together with those still fighting and living on. Think about it then just enjoy this video. From what I've been told by my uncle and a few of his friends, there were some really crazy parties and times of happiness "back then." Maybe that's why the whole "gay" thing came about. LOL. I just said "gay" and "came" in the same short sentence. Time for me to return to wank banking ...

What's sad is...as old as this vid is...these hot guys are prob dead from the HIV era of not knowing...OR they are in their late 50's...
