Anyone who doesn't find this heart-wrenching, difficult, and utterly painful to watch has a nothingness where a heart belongs. He and the many others just like him deserve to be seen, heard and loved... and not to be spit upon, called ugly names, hurt, or physically and emotionally destroyed. Poor baby...
Dang! :'( I hope he's ok! And I felt like I was watching myself! And it's not much better even by now, turning 50 recently! Not saying I'm still "bullied", but it was similar around jobs I worked. Anyway, I'm going to see if I can research him, even though this video was posted 10 years ago. Or scroll through the comments to see if anyone posted anything further about him!
I sincerely hope that you have received the support and guidance you desperately need Jonah. Bullies are cowards, afraid of something they don't understand and can't control. I know that doesn't sound right to you, but it's true. Seek help from family, close friends, guidance counsellors. Talk to police if you are being threatened or physically harmed. Many are probably saying to just ignore them, but it's important that you don't remain silent! You are important!
my dearest friend, I only can say BE STRONGER and STROGER they're cowards (may be because they're jalous of what you are....they are too coward to be like US Kisses from Rome (Italy)
One of the saddest things I've come across. Does anyone know how Jonah is? If you sees this, Jonah, "I truly hope you are OK and that you've found lasting happiness and love."
keep going your such a cute lad one day someone is going to be proud to say they love you wish i was there to hold you you bring tears to my eyes i went through this when i was at school and i cant beleave it still going on please stay strong xx
I tried very hard to stay composed during this video, but it still made me cry.
I know exactly what this guy is experiencing and the next 5 years are probably going to be incredibly hard, but there are genuinely good people out there - People in his class and others in the classes older and younger who are experiencing the exact same problems. There are people just like you who are feeling lost or beaten or destroyed. There are people who feel the exact same hurt you are feeling.
So many of us have been exactly where you are; we've walked in the same shoes and as hard as life can be at your age, as dire and dreadful as some people can be to you I swear that life DOES GET BETTER.
My best advise (the only advise I can give that matters at all) is to find a true friend - a counselor, a parent (even someone else’s parents can be your champion just like my best friend’s parents were for me).
You MUST build a core of people who you trust and who trust you. Use their strengths, advise and wisdom to better yourself. When you make it through this rough patch in your life you will find that LIFE DOES GET BETTER (omg so much better.). All the horrible things you currently believe are “end of the world” situations will become nothing more than speed bumps in the life of a great person.
Above all remember that you are more than their words; you are amazing. and I love you just as you are.
Just came across this vid and I must say, it made me very upset! Schools all over the world have the same sort of problem with kids who are so unsure of themselves and their own sexuality that they must compensate for it by bullying others who are perhaps more sensitive and maybe caring about others. Love you always!
You'll never find joy in this life until you stop looking outside yourself and start looking inwards. I was one of those "different" kids in school and am a survivor. It's a natural occurrence for immature kids to knock what is different. It can be a tool for a person to learn to build inner strength and practice self-reliance. He/she will need to do have that strength later in life. You'll realize, later in life, that those kids that were hateful hated themselves. They were, most often, from dysfunctional families. You were just a bouncing board for them to vent-off that inner hate. To this day, as an adult, I am still "different" and still get "bullied" only it's in subtleties - smirks and innuendoes - and they COULD hurt just as bad, but they don't. I found that inner strength years ago and I'm here, in this life, to focus on what brings joy to me and nothing else. IT'S UP TO YOU!
This made me so sad :( We all need to stand up and be counted for, start voting for anyone that supports gay and human rights until it becomes a minimum standard that all of them have to adopt. I don't care about anything else materialistic. Every elected leader that doesn't improve on this discrimination I will vote against at the end of their term. Life is too short and before I leave this planet, hopefully for a better place, it would be great to see gay youth be accepted and appreciated for who they are and not judged on their sexuality. Only when adults show youth that it is ok to be gay or different... it will be ok. S.B.G.
