Difficult to achieve depth and real character development, as such, in 16 mins. He probably comes out to his dad in the way he only feels he can: through anger, hurt (at his father's earlier comments?) - so he makes a bold, blatant and very public statement as an act of defiance perhaps? I enjoyed the film for what it was. Thanks for posting.
