Sadly, the most users don't even notice it when they post/download webp pics with their google browsers!!!

Google contaminates automatically the whole world with his new webp-pic-file-format! His Chrome browser in coworking with his automatic jpg/gif to webp converter on many websites/servers makes it very heavy to post/download the origin/original jpg/gif-files with better image quality from a lot of websites/servers. Sadly, once converted to webp, the origin image quality is lost forever, not recoverable! Google says the image quality goes not down. This is not true, just compare an original jpg or gif with the web-jpg or gif! On smartphones you may not see the difference, but on bigger displays with higher resolutions. Gifs lost even more quality than jpg's.

Yeah, I'll join the comments as against .webp.  Webp is a compressed image format intended to speed up page loads.  Problem is once you lose quality you can't just bring it back. Webp often looks fine at its regular resolution, but expand it at all and its pixelated to hell. Converters to make it more universal again and regain file size, but it'll never be the same. I've seen way too much quality photography absolutely destroyed over time by all the renames, reups, compressions, and conversions.  But webp takes the cake...

I did not know you can often get the original jpg by changing the link through so I'm glad I learned that today!

???????????? Webp's have lower picture quality then the original images! ???????????? The most users don't even notice it when they post converted *.webp-pics instead of the originals with their google browser!!! With high quality stored jpg/jpeg/png/gif-pics becomes automatically converted into webp-pics with lower image quality, if you use the google browser! Additionally webp's on walls are not visible for all visitors/browsers, and if downloaded they become not shown in folders, they are not watchable at all devices and it's heavy to handle/work with them!!! And i'm not an idiot, i know it's possible to save webp's as jpg with some browsers, but you should know: the quality of the original/origin jpg-pic-file is not recoverable, lost is lost!!! ???????????? Please simply use Firefox with extension: "Don't accept webp" instead of Google, to send the better images!!! If you think you must use Google nevertheless: just delete webp and write jpg/jpeg/png/gif at the end of the link's after inserted them in the posting windows, so you get jpg/jpeg/png/gif from all servers!!! Thanks in advance! Only until the administrator Nick has removed webp from GBT with the next skript update! More info's about Google's webp invention and why you shouldn't use it see my blog: "Webp Pandemic Pestilence", Link: https://www.gayboystube.com/blog/62828.html ********** Link to download Firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/download/thanks/ ********** Download Firefox Extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/downloads/file/3594514/dont_accept_imagewebp-0.5.1-fx.xpi  ==========================================================================================================================================

Simply question: What would you like more to have? Relatively good original *.jpg images or worse *.webp images with less image quality/kilobyte?

Alladinsane, don't try to explain something very simple to someone who is not intelligent.

They will continue to stumble with the same rock everyday.

You lost your time.

My universal answer to all uninformed/uninterested visitors who think I'm an idiot because I'm sharing information about Google's webp invention here! *** Meine universal Antwort an alle uninformierten/uninteressierten Besucher, die mich für einen Idioten halten, weil ich hier Informationen über Googles webp Erfindung bekanntgebe!

He tries to explain to GBT users that Google's *.webp images have poorer image quality than the usual *.jpg/jpeg/png/gif images! Unfortunately, no sow is interested! Are probably all too indifferent, lazy or stupid, or do not even notice that they send worse webp pictures!

GBT gives out webp links to new generated webp pics with mostly lower quality, invisible in some browsers or the origin jpg/jpeg/png/gif links to the stored original pics with better quality, dependend of the browser you use!!! If you use the Google, Firefox or other Chrome based browsers you get always webp links! Please check your links after you have inserted them into your "Massposting" or members walls "Post Instantly" window and change file-extension *.webp to *.jpg/jpeg/png/gif or whatever the origin file extension was! (mostly jpg), so everyone get your pics in better quality, visible in all browsers, in windows folders, at all devices! But there is a simplier way: just use Firefox with "Don't accept webp" extension, then you get automatically the original jpg links!!! ***** PS: Nick is going to remove webp next time, it would be a very nice christmas gift for all GBT members!

I figured out: Especially high resolution gif's lost even more quality/sharpness than jpg's, if they are posted as webps! First: original gif, second: transcoded to webp

Thanks to all friends for your posts to my blogs, even though i'm on backside of the moon right now! Need silence! See you later, sorry, little time! Pink Xoxo

Oh fuck, sorry, but these webp pics in lower quality than jpg, gif from Google's browser in coworking with the GBT server costs me my last nerves! It's soooooo easy to prevent sending worse webp pics: Just use the Firefox browser with an extension: "don't accept webp's"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ******* Just another useless self talking from me to my friends!? Thank you so much, without your webp's i wouldn't know what i should do the whole day!!!!!!!! LOL! I have to try for each webp to get the original jpg or gif in better quality from GBT's server! If there is yet a little place therein, i would prefer, you shove the webp's in your .... , you know, what i mean? More detailed info's about webp see my blog: "Webp Pandemic Pestilence". If this info annoyes you: i'm also annoyed (about Google and GBT, not about you!) Pink xoxo, Barbie

IT IS A PAIN CHANGING THIS TO J-PEGS.

Unfortunately, no one is interested in sending better image qualities, everyone is still sending Webp's! No one helps me! I don't want to make myself a monkey for guys who don't care about other members, or are too lazy to read information, too lazy to get and send the better non-webp links! Thank you is the world's reward!

Shortform for guys without time: Using the Google Browser causes sending bad Webp pics/links, using Firefox with extension "don't-accept-webp" prevents sending Webp pics/links! ****** Last updated at 28.Sep.2021: Visitors, members and me dislike Webp files/images with lower picture quality than jpg, heavy to handle/view/edit and invisible in windows folders, in some browsers and at some devices! *** Here comes all in one about WEBP and how to prevent it *** Just be careful, don't read these top secret tips, you could be informed about Webps, haha, LOL!!! If you suck on other users: Please don't read this, save your time to contaminate all GBT walls with the Webp plague!!! Not only the pixel resolution is a sign for quality! *** If you use the Google or another Chrome based browser: GBT converts all his jpg, jpeg, png and gif image files into the same webp files, stores them second time on another place and gives out links to these new webp files!!! *** But for the same image, you can get automatically also the former jpg/jpeg/png/gif links for a mostly better pic quality than webp, if you use Firefox with extension "Don't accept webp" or the former worlds best browser, Internet Explorer, unfortunately gunned down by Godfather Billyboy himself! Thank you in advance! *** But there is a much better way: Wanna save a lot of work/time? Wanna get better pic quality automatically? Use Firefox with the new Firefox extension. See: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/dont-accept-webp. This extension removes image/webp from the list of formats Firefox tells sites that it accepts. That should discourage many servers from replacing JPEG and PNG images with WebP images. So you get and send never again crappy webp links/pics. Hopeful someone reads this at all!
