Fussell lived near Philadelphia for most of his life and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts with his close friend, mentor, and colleague, Thomas Eakins. This work dates between circa 1860 and circa 1865.
Théodore Chassériau (1819 – 1856) was a Dominican-born French Romantic painter noted for his portraits, historical and religious paintings, allegorical murals, and Orientalist images inspired by his travels to Algeria. This work dates from 1838.
Charles Le Brun (1619 – 1690) was a French painter, physiognomist, art theorist, and a director of several art schools of his time. He served as a court painter to Louis XIV, who declared him "the greatest French artist of all time". Le Brun was a dominant figure in 17th-century French art and was influenced by Nicolas Poussin. This work dates between 1645 and 1646.

As I go through all these posting of great guys by all of you I've got one thing that I can not figure out.
Why do so many take pictures of themselves in a mirror with a camera.
Why not use the timer on the phone or a bluetooth picture taker.
There has been many pictures taken I fell the camera in the picture or over the face wrecked the picture.

Svend Rathsack (1885–1941) was a Danish sculptor. Rathsack studied painting at the Danish Academy under Otto Bache, Frants Henningsen, August Jerndorff and Viggo Johansen before continuing at the Academy's Decoration School until 1911 under Joakim Skovgaard.
